Soft and Life Skills
Soft skills are a combination of people skills, social skills, communication skills, the character of personal traits, attitudes, career attribute, social and emotional intelligence quotients among others that enable people to navigate themselves within their environment. These skills also include how to work well with others, perform excellently, and achieve their goals with a positive flexible attitude.
The contents of soft skills module of EYW Bangladesh is designed for a 3 days training in such a way to make youth especially young female living in rural climate change affected areas, become aware of their rights, social norms that often hinder their rights and entitlement and learn elements of life skills so that they can empower and bring the change in their lives and the community as well. They also learn on climate change issues, SRHR and gender based violence. In order to deliver these skills training EYW has developed training modules and provided Training of Trainers (ToT) on the modules to its project staff of partner organizations and number of young male and female who are playing the role as trainer or training facilitator.
Youth Organizational Development module developed by EYW Bangladesh helps youth group members to learn about organizational development, leadership skills, managing groups and implementing the work plan to sustain and run the organization in the long run.
